Saturday Fun

I was completely unprepared for Easter this year. Throughout the week I had gone to different stores to try to find dresses. Ya right, I couldn't find anything. If I found something that I would potentially buy, of course there was no size that I needed. I finally found some dresses this morning. I'm not sure how they will look on, so I guess we can only hope that they work.
After shopping we went home to have lunch and do some fun Easter things.
We decorated eggs.

Growing up I made the vanishing marshmallow rolls, but never thought about it being a good object lesson for Easter. I got the idea from some other blog, so I made sure that we did it this year. It worked out really well and the girls were so amazed how the rolls were empty after.

We then had an egg hunt with the eggs that they decorated. Here they are waiting for us to say go.

When they had found all the eggs, we did egg wrestling. Dan won the first round and Annie won the second. They thought that was a fun game and got some good laughs from the crazies.
This has nothing to do with Easter, but it was some good family time. We watched E.T. It had been FOREVER since I had seen this movie. The girls were scared at first (I think Jo Jo almost started crying she was so scared) and then when they realized that he was actually a nice alien, they loved him. They were so excited that he was able to get better and go home. Annie hugged me for a long time, she was so happy.
When it was time for bed the crazies laid out the eggs that they had colored and wait to see if they hatch during the night.
It was a great day and I'm so grateful that I was able to share it with my family.
