Spelling Bee

Both my super smart girls were able to make it to the 2nd grade spelling bee. I'm so proud of all their hard work!

Annie got out in the 4th round on the word 'bucket'.

Jo Jo got out in the 5th round on the word 'frump'.

When Jo Jo got that word, I got really nervous, because I had gone over that word that morning, but guess who was upstairs brushing her teeth?
Miss Jo Jo.
She spelled it just the way Annie did that morning, with an o. Oh-well. They did awesome and I am a proud momma!

One of their best friends was also competing. Love these girls!

Field Day

I'm so glad that today wasn't super hot. I spent most of it outside.

It was field day and I got to help at the sac race.

Every once in awhile I was able to go watch the girls do whatever they were doing at the time.

I love watching them with their friends!

I have helped quite a lot with the twinners class this year. They are such a fun class and their teacher is AMAZING!!

We Love to Read

We have another graduate! After a lot of tears and working hard, Annie finally graduated to the next AR level. So happy for her!

And in just a couple hours we are off to Utah. So excited!

Fun Run

The school had their Apex Fun Run this week. They made the whole week so much fun for the kids. The crazies even got a few pledges for their classes. As a side note, Annie and Jo Jo's class won the most pledges, by like 5 cents.

There were too many kids for one run and so they split the kids up into two groups. We had kids in both groups, so we were at the school a lot today. I don't mind, because it was really fun!

School Week

This week at school was dress up week.

Monday was Red and Green Day. They wore as much of those colors as they could. Of course I forgot to take a pic. But they were cute!

Tuesday was Holiday Character Day. We had a hard time deciding on what to be this day. But in the end they chose to be a holly berry, an angel, and a candy cane.

GiGi also wanted to dress up this day.

Ugly Sweater Day was on Wednesday. We skipped this one, because we don't really even own sweaters.

Thursday was the 12 Days of Christmas. The girls wore dresses and were "ladies dancing". Original huh?! Of course I forgot pics this day as well.

I know I'm really on top of things over here!

And of course everyone was most excited for Friday--PJ Day. I remembered to take a pic this day...

We were in the drop off line at school, but I got a pic. Can you see their robes?

Writing Award

Miss Jo Jo received the writing award for her class.

Not the best pic, but I was facing the rising sun and only had my phone.

A New Year Begins

Summer has gone by way too fast. We are now embarking on another year of school.

Annie and Jo Jo are entering 2nd grade and Ty is a big girl in Kindergarten. I can't believe it.

We have met their teachers and they both seem really nice.

The girls are excited that they get to be in a portable this year (I'm not that excited--too far away from the bathroom for a girl who waits until the last minute to say she needs to go).
