Kettlemuck's

There is a toy store, not far from our house, called Kettlemuck's. It isn't a store that you can find barbies or transformers or electronics, it is a store that sells stuffed animals, little trinkets, board games, little hard animals, and other fun stuff that let you use your imagination.
The best part is the treasure dig in the middle of the store. They have a big "sand" pit with hidden treasures. The "sand" is actually milk cartons that have been melted down into little tiny beads. You pay $5 and they give you a little baggie for your treasure hunt. Whatever you find that can fit into your baggie, you keep. I had to go in with Ty (3 and under) and boy did it feel good. For some reason those little beads relaxed me. The girls had fun digging and playing.




We found enough treasure to fill the bags and now the toys are spread throughout the house as are a whole bunch of "sand" beads!!!
It is a fun little store if you are ever in the area.

Christmas Cards

I have used Shutterfly as my main photo store for quite some time. I LOVE all of their products. I think that the calendars and photo books are such awesome gifts. I have given them to family and I don’t intend to stop. I love having them throughout my house so that anyone can look at them. Here are some ideas for anyone who needs them:

Fun Stuff

The crazies have been extra wild lately. Not sure why, but we have had some fun through it all.

Daylight Savings

It was nice to have the extra hour during the night, but I didn't really get to use it properly. Ty was awake bright and early before 6, which would be normal if it was still 7. So we just laid in bed until I HAD to get up to use the restroom. By the time I was done, my bed had been taken over by three little crazies. So I just did my hair and listened to them talk and argue about who got to lay by Ty. The rest of the day was a normal lazy day and then dinner time started to approach. I knew I was going to make rolls and lasagna, so I planned when I needed to start to have it all finish at the same time. The time came and I got everything ready and then I realized that I hadn't changed the clocks throughout the house. I was making dinner an hour earlier than I needed to. What was worse was I had to wake up Dan and see if he wanted to sleep or come eat with us (graveyard kinda sucks). I felt so bad about it, so I let him take a nap after the girls went to sleep.
The clocks are all moved back, maybe we will eventually get used to this new change. Only time will tell!

*Bummer that Dan had to work last night. Instead of a 10 hour shift, he had to work 11 hours.

The Beast

We watched 'The Sandlot' with the crazies last night. It has been awhile since I have watched it and I almost forgot how hilarious it is. "How can I have s'more of nothing?"
The girls all took guesses at what the 'Beast' was: 1) A Dinasour 2) A Lion and 3) Rudy (from Ice Age 3--another funny movie). They were pretty amused that it was really just a big dog.
All last night and all morning they have been taking turns being a girl beast. Annie said that there were two beasts and one was named Sally and the other Bagoda. I think it is awesome the names they come up with. So random.

I have a few more projects that I am doing or going to start soon. Hopefully I have the patience to finish them.

It's Halloween

This Halloween was somewhat of a bummer. I don't know what was up with me. I usually love to decorate and get into it all, but I just didn't get there. I did a little decorating, but I took it all down last Monday.
Then I felt extra bad because Annie didn't get to go trick-or-treating. She has been having accidents lately and so I sat down with her (about a week ago after she had two within half a day) and we talked about the things that she could do and what should happen if she did it again. We finally decided that if she was to do it again she wouldn't get to go trick-or-treating. Well she had an accident. Then she had a melt down because I told her she wasn't going trick-or-treating. I felt so torn about the decision. She was having a hard time with it, but I think it was harder for me. I felt so awful taking this holiday away, but at the same time I didn't want to give in and let her go because, well, that defeats the whole purpose of discipline. So yesterday morning after a little break down when she was reminded that she couldn't go, I told her that I would think about letting her go if she was nice with her sisters (which she wasn't), if she didn't whine (which she did), and if she listened to Dan and I (which was here and there). Bedtime wasn't so peaceful and that is when the decision was made that she really wasn't going. She was still a little upset that she wasn't going, but I let her put on her costume and hand out candy to those who came to our door. She liked that and so she didn't even care anymore and was happy the rest of the night. She did get to go to a couple of doors at the end of the night, but that is because it was to family and their neighbors.

Utah and Halloween #2

Wednesday
We drove to Utah and hung out at the house.

Thursday
We went to Utah County to do a few things, pick up Jenna and the kids, and visit our fav Provo family. The kids LOVED playing with each other.



Friday
We hung out all day. We got a great deal on our pumpkins and had yummy pizza.

Saturday

Sunday
I was nasty sick, but had a visitor anyways. Thanks for driving to see us Sarah!

Monday
We played with the Ridings in the morning and then the kids went trick or treating at Nana's. They thought that was pretty exciting.


Ty had a rough time getting out of her costume so we could get dressed to drive home.

It was a fun vacation and I'm so glad that we were able to go.

Jello Popcorn

Different, but Good

Primary

The girls had their first primary program today.
Annie said "Prophets are called of God."
Jo Jo said "God speaks through Prophets."
They had their parts all memorized, but Annie needed help with hers. She has been saying 'Gods are called of Prophets' or 'Gods are called of God'.
But they both did wonderfully.

We haven't switched wards yet so the girls could be apart of this program. I'm very sad that it was our last week in the South Valley Ranch Ward. We have met many wonderful people and the girls have made quite a few friends. I'm grateful that we are still close so they can play with all the friends that they have. I'm just hoping that our new ward will be as great.
