Christmas

Well it was officially a disaster Christmas for our Annie. Santa didn't bring her what she wanted (after she decided to change her mind so close to the big day), which made tears on her part and feeling pretty rotten on my part.

We eventually got through it and we ended up having a pretty great day. Dan didn't have to work and we had nothing to do all day.

Decorating

Today we decorated for the holidays. We had a couple of new helpers this year (one who had to leave for part of the process because they weren't being nice to the ornaments). Dan went a little crazy with the picture taking and I think he ended up taking like 200 photos. That was fun to go through.

Then it was my turn to re-decorate.

After dinner and the cousins left, the crazies were able to decorate their trees in their rooms. They were beyond excited.

Now we get to enjoy the magic of the season!!!

Christmas

Our home over Christmas break looked like this...

Sick kids made for a very calm and quiet break. Luckily little miss GiGi hasn't gotten sick. We weren't able to do all of our traditions, but we got a few in and still had fun. We did the traditional Eve festivities...

Christmas was exciting, but what Annie said when I woke her up made my day.

Me: "Happy Christmas Annie!"

Annie: Gets a huge smile on her face and sits on my lap. "It's Jesus' birthday!"

Love me some Annie!!!!

One of the things that the girls really wanted for Christmas was a chapter book. So that is what they got and they loved them. They spent most of the day reading. I loved watching them.

What a wonderful Christmas! The best part was just being with my family. I love them so very very much and they make me so happy!

Christmas Party

For our ward party this year each family decorated their own Christmas tree that was used as the "Festival of Trees" decor. The girls had fun making the snowmen for our tree...

It was also fun to walk around and see all the other trees. People are creative!

I was in charge of the kids crafts, so things were a little bit hectic with four crazies and no hubby (Dan had to work and so I was on my own). Thankfully I have some great kids and they were awesome. I only lost GiGi once.

Santa!

It was a wonderful night and we got home far too late!

Christmas

We woke up this morning with little crazies super excited to go downstairs. They sat on the stairs so patiently until we were ready to go down. (While we were sitting there I could of sworn that I smelled pee. Oh well.)

Santa did a great job with the gifts that he brought.

Everyone was so happy especially this cute bride.

While we were preparing to open our presents, I smelled pee again and so I asked if someone had gone in the night, but noone answered me. So I smelled everyone. I found the culprit--Jo Jo. After she went upstairs to clean up, I asked her why she did it and she said that she didn't want to get out of bed just in case Santa was at our house. Which means that she slept most the night like that. GROSS! But also hilarious!

Finally we opened all of our presents.

After opening our gifts we got ready for church and attended a spirit filled meeting. We then came home, ate lunch, sent Dan off to work, played with our toys and games, and watched a movie.
