Messy

The upside to having the older two girls gone is that the two younger girls are finally getting along. It is so fun to watch them play so well together.

And I can tell you that I love this mess right now.

Give In

I had my first "give in" moment with GiGi. We were at the store, in the toy section (my first mistake), and saw some little animals. Well GiGi found two that she loved and wouldn't put them back. So I let her hold them through the store and thought that by the time we got to check out she would have lost interest.

Nope.

She held onto those toys and when I finally was able to rip them from her hands she was screaming, so I had the checker scan them quickly and gave them right back to her. The instant she got them back, she was the happiest little person in the world.

Sometimes it is SO much easier to not fight with them. She loves them so much and if she sees one of her sisters playing with one, she immediately takes it away from them.

I love this girl!

Kettlemuck's

There is a toy store, not far from our house, called Kettlemuck's. It isn't a store that you can find barbies or transformers or electronics, it is a store that sells stuffed animals, little trinkets, board games, little hard animals, and other fun stuff that let you use your imagination.
The best part is the treasure dig in the middle of the store. They have a big "sand" pit with hidden treasures. The "sand" is actually milk cartons that have been melted down into little tiny beads. You pay $5 and they give you a little baggie for your treasure hunt. Whatever you find that can fit into your baggie, you keep. I had to go in with Ty (3 and under) and boy did it feel good. For some reason those little beads relaxed me. The girls had fun digging and playing.




We found enough treasure to fill the bags and now the toys are spread throughout the house as are a whole bunch of "sand" beads!!!
It is a fun little store if you are ever in the area.

Toys and the Mailman!

I was going through some pictures and found this one and remembered that I never posted about it.


One day the girls and I were just sitting around and there was a knock at the door. I got it and it was the mailman with a box for SB, Jo Jo, and Tye from their Grandma. We opened it and there were toys! The girls were so excited. They immediately told me "We love that Man!" Of course I told them that the dollies were from Grandma and not the mailman, but they didn't really care, the mailman was the one that brought it to them and so he was the best. They even wanted to make him cookies to give to him for being so nice and bringing them presents.
Sorry Grandma, they really do love you, but maybe you should have brought it to them in person! :)
