Hair

We almost had another fun hair episode. Remember this?
I finally got up the nerve to let the girls go with their little animal scissors they got for Christmas. I warned them before that they are only for the paper in front of them and if I saw them using them for anything else, they would be taken away. They did very well cutting and making nice little confetti everywhere. They were almost done with their paper and I look over and Jo Jo was trying to chop off her hair. Luckily the scissors didn't do the job! She got them taken away and started to cry because she wasn't actually done cutting her paper. We talked about the rules and then she wouldn't help pick up all the paper and so she got put into timeout where she cried even harder. Oh boy! This little girl tries my patience like no one else. Well at least if she would have cut her hair, we already know that she is super cute with her hair short. Although it wouldn't have been that short since she was only cutting about to her shoulders!

Then there is little miss Annie. She LOVES to twirl her finger in her hair. The other day she started to cry a little bit and we realize that her WHOLE hand is stuck in her hair.


I have no idea how she got it all stuck, but she somehow managed. Dan was the one to try to untangle it and had a somewhat hard time getting it out. It was so funny!

Mt. Charleston

We took a little drive up to Mt. Charleston yesterday. It is pretty cool how it is complete desert and then you are in the mountains. There was actually a good amount of snow that we didn't really get to play too much in, because the girls' snow pants and coats have been lost. We did throw a few snowballs, walked around, almost got stuck and enjoyed the scenery. We went up to the ski park and had the girls watch the kids learn on the bunny hill. We told them that we will take them up next year and have them learn. That will be a funny site to see since they don't EVER want to try anything new!


We then stopped by Chilis to have some lunch and boy was Ty on one. At one point she didn't want anyone to touch the ketchup and so she just held it close to her and had her face on it. She is so dramatic...


and cranky!

Well Check

All three crazies had a Dr. appointment today. The girls were happy. I had told them what the Dr. was going to do and that they might get shots. Things were going well.
They got weighed.
They got measured.
They had a good time waiting for the Dr.



They are very healthy!


They are small for their age. But that is not new news. They have always been small.
The twins are about in the 20%.
Ty is in the 50%.
Then the nurse came back in.
Annie (SB) went first.
She was extremely brave.
I told her to sing and I held both her hands.
She sang "I am a Child of God."
She wanted to so bad, but she didn't cry at all.
Jo Jo went next and had seen the whole thing.
She was tense the second she was on the table.
She cried a little bit.
Ty was the last and boy does that girl know how to make you feel awful.
Even when she gets hurt her cry doesn't measure up to the cry she belts out when she gets shots.
The crazies got suckers and stickers.
And medicine.
And they are still whining like babies.
Especially Jo Jo.

Our Fun Vacation

We had a baptism to go to this past weekend and so I decided to take the girls and go up a week early. We met up with my parents in St. George and hung out with Grammy and my Aunt and Uncle for a bit and then headed up to Delta. I'm sad her eyes were closed in this picture. Oh how I love this wonderful lady!!


Even Ty realized how wonderful she is.


4 Generations.


On Monday we had a late birthday party for the girls. They were so excited that Auntie Shai made them a cake and that they were going to get presents. Thank you guys for throwing them a party! It made their day!






Tuesday we headed up to Orem to stay at Jenna's. It happened to be her birthday and so we went to Jump On It. I think Jenna had more fun than the girls. Everyone loved it!

Wednesday we had a girls day. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad that I got to see and hang out with everyone.



Thursday we went up to Ikea and shopped around there for awhile. I'm sad that there isn't one here in Vegas.

Dan came up Friday and we had the baptism on Saturday. It was such a special day and I'm glad that we were able to be there to be a part of it. It was fun to be able to hang out with Dan's family.




It was a great week and I'm glad that I was able to do it. I am so blessed to have family that I love and that I want to be with.

Getting Pampered

I just thought that you all would like to know that I have my own little spa and salon here in my house.


I have been lucky enough to have the best hairdressers, makeup artists, and manicurists in the valley at my beck and call.


Who needs to pay any money when they have these three?

Blanket

There is one thing in our house that if lost, all is lost.
That one thing used to be mine when I was a baby.
Although I don't think that I used it to the extent that our little baby does.
Her blanket!
If we are going to be gone for a long time or know that we will be gone during a nap time, we don't leave the house without it.
We learned our lesson.
She is only suppose to have it when she is sleeping, but I have caved (multiple times) and let her use it when she is extremely cranky or I need to cook dinner and be left alone.
Every once in a while she can reach it through her bars and will try to pull it through.


If she doesn't get it, she will settle for standing next to her crib and doing her thing.


Reminds me of another little girl (Moo Moo) who used to do the same thing. Although she would stand outside while it dried on the clothesline. I wish I had a picture of that one. I think somewhere we have one. I'll have to look into that.

Double Wedding?

Remember this? We have decided that the redneck dress is out and we are going to have a double wedding.


The crazies were playing with their blocks the other day and ended up being brides. Not sure how it got to this point, but whatever! Their favorite parts were the veils "Just like Momma's!" I wish I would have worn a pink veil. How cool would I have been then! :)

Nursery Here We Come!!!!

My baby is now 18 months old. I can hardly believe it.


She wasn't a baby long enough. Today she was crawling around (which she doesn't ever do) and Dan and I started talking about how little time she spent crawling. She rolled around forever! And how fast the time has gone. I miss my baby, but I am so excited to watch her grow. (Don't mind my crappy hair and makeup day!)


One thing that is so exciting is that she is now old enough to attend nursery. Oh I can't tell you how happy I am for this occasion. Dan and I have been unofficial hall monitors for our ward the past little while. We did drop her off last week to see how she would do and she cried for a bit when Dan left, but was then all smiles the rest of the time. When I went to pick her up, she was happily popping bubbles with the other kids.


Time really does go by so fast. It wasn't too long ago that the twinners were starting nursery. Now look at them.


Ty how I love you! You do make this house a little bit crazier and for that I am extremely grateful. 18 months has gone by in a blink of an eye. I am excited for the things that are to come. Love you baby girl!

Our Life

We haven't done much lately. We been kinda lazy at our house.
I need to get out of this funk, but don't quite know how.
Anyways, here are a few random pictures.

SB and Jo Jo have been watching too many movies.
I made popcorn for them one day when they had been good girls.

Last week it was good weather.



This week not so much.
It is raining pretty good.
I love it.
Dan doesn't like it at all. He is outside working tonight.
Poor Guy!
I had a potato blow up on me.
Well not on me, but in my oven. Luckily it was on a cookie sheet.


All the years that I've baked potatoes, I've never had one blow up on me. I guess there is a first for everything. I'm just glad that in the end we didn't really need it.
Just hoping to survive this week of rain so we can eventually get to the park and release some energy.
