Our Trip

We just got back from our weekend in Utah. We had a lot of fun! The reason for our trip was because Miss Z turned 8 and decided to get baptized. Love that sassy girl.

The crazies loved being able to play with their cousins. And by the end of our stay, they were ok with having the dog around. Just not too close. Annie and Ty were really nervous in this pic with having it so close.

There were ants that kept showing up in this part of the house and so every time we would see one, Nana would vacuum it up. The girls would sit on the stairs and watch. They hated the vacuum almost as much as they hated the ants.

At one point some Oreos were brought out and this little girl kept sneaking them. I think she probably had 7 or 8.

And that is why she threw up in the night and it was all black. Disgusting!!!!

We also were able to have some fun with the tazers that my mom got us for Christmas. What good sports!

Watch this

and the one below.

Love it!!!!

California

Sunday night we decided that we should take a little trip since the girls didn't have school Monday or Tuesday and Dan is now on a new schedule. We got online and booked us a room in Redondo Beach and Monday morning we took off.
This is actually the first vacation trip that we have taken with just our family and with us not going to visit family.

We got down there in the afternoon and checked into our room. We then went to Target because we forgot a few things. By the time we got back we didn't have time to do much and so we took a walk down the the beach and then to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. The girls had their first taste of crab legs and fell in love with it.

After dinner we went back to the hotel and attempted to go swimming, but it was an outdoor pool, it wasn't the warmest night, and Ty fell down and so we just said that we would go later. We went to our room and watched some TV and went to bed.

We got ready and headed out to go to the beach. It was a lot of fun and the girls said that they want to go to the beach all the time.

After some time at the beach we drove on down to Long Beach and went to the aquarium. I really enjoyed it and the crazies had a blast. Can you believe that Jo Jo and Annie even touched some sharks? It took a lot of coaxing, but they did it. And Jo Jo touched some Jellyfish. What brave kids I have!

When we were done with the aquarium, we walked around outside.

After a day of fun, we got in the car for the drive home. Of course we hit traffic and so it took us a lot longer to get home, but we made it!
It was a very short, but very fun getaway.
A much needed getaway.

The Rest of Our Trip

Dan left Delta on Saturday to come back for work.
There were two baby blessings that were on Sunday and so the crazies and I stayed until Wednesday.
Of course it had to be awful weather on Sunday, but we made it to the blessings.
Papa blessed Ben for Ryan and Emma and Colby blessed Zaylor for Jenna and Dustin.
They were both really good blessings and I was so glad that I was able to be there.
We ate some good food at Jenna's and I broke in her new carpet with some rootbeer. Don't tell anyone though!!
We left before the second half of the storm hit, but that didn't stop us from doing a 360, which according to Annie was "so awesome".
Mom was pretty freaked out, but all was fine.
Jo Jo got sick.
Go figure.
Ty had a good time with Harlie.

Annie acted like a baby for a good chunk of one day.

We went to the movie Tangled and loved it.
Ty loved getting into things.

We played with Auntie Shai, Kix, Oakley, Harlie, Moo Moo, and Nana as much as we could.
Plans changed and Nana drove us to meet up with Dan in St. George.
Were sad that Nana and Papa couldn't come to our house for a visit.
It was a good vacation, but it was also good to be home.

Our Fun Vacation

We had a baptism to go to this past weekend and so I decided to take the girls and go up a week early. We met up with my parents in St. George and hung out with Grammy and my Aunt and Uncle for a bit and then headed up to Delta. I'm sad her eyes were closed in this picture. Oh how I love this wonderful lady!!

Even Ty realized how wonderful she is.

4 Generations.

On Monday we had a late birthday party for the girls. They were so excited that Auntie Shai made them a cake and that they were going to get presents. Thank you guys for throwing them a party! It made their day!

Tuesday we headed up to Orem to stay at Jenna's. It happened to be her birthday and so we went to Jump On It. I think Jenna had more fun than the girls. Everyone loved it!

Jump On It from Tiffany on Vimeo.

Wednesday we had a girls day. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad that I got to see and hang out with everyone.

Thursday we went up to Ikea and shopped around there for awhile. I'm sad that there isn't one here in Vegas.

This is how Ty spent a lot of her time.

Dan came up Friday and we had the baptism on Saturday. It was such a special day and I'm glad that we were able to be there to be a part of it. It was fun to be able to hang out with Dan's family.

It was a great week and I'm glad that I was able to do it. I am so blessed to have family that I love and that I want to be with.

Too Long!

The alarm went off and I rolled over to see what time it was. '3:30? I have only been asleep for 3 hours. Weren't we suppose to get up at 4? Why did we decide to wake up and leave this early?' These were the things going through my mind early Friday morning. I had stayed up until 12:30 packing and getting everything ready so we could just get up, get in the car, and leave.
We got all the last minute things and our crazies in the car and headed out. Around 11am we pulled into Dan's brothers house. It was a nice car ride with the crazies sleeping for more than half of the trip. We went in and said our hello's and then got the girls in their swimsuits and headed out to a park to surprise Dan's mom. She didn't know that the whole family was there.
We all decided to play in different area's of the park when she showed up. When they got there and were walking through the park, she walked right past a couple of the grandkids (they were even saying their names.) When she got to the area that Jo Jo and Ainsley were playing in, she watched them for a bit and kept glancing at me. She looked at me and I looked at her and she kept looking at me. If I was a stranger it would have been a little bit awkward. Finally after a bit, she realized that it was me. Pretty funny that it took her so long.

At the park, there was a part were the water shoots up for the kids to play in. They had fun in it and Ty didn't want to be taken out of it. We had lunch and soon after eating a water fight erupted. Michele and I ended up getting completely soaked, which was fine because it was hot. Afterwards we went back to the Roper's house to clean up a bit.

We decided to go bowling. I haven't been for such a long time and the girls had never been. Everyone had such a good time even though we all sucked it up! After bowling, we went back home and had dinner, played games, the girls watched the kitty eat, and had light saber duels.

The next day we went to the Brooks' house and played hide-n-seek, board games, an eye game (Good job to Nathan for getting them all--Did you cheat? :) Just kidding.) We had lunch and a yummy ice cream cake for Ty's Birthday. Hugh and Dan had a hot dog eating contest which Hugh won. We had a family discussion and we were just able to relax and have fun with each other which hasn't happened for like 4 years. 4 years is a long time to not have the whole family together.

Sunday we went to the first hour of church and then said our goodbyes and took off. Ty HATED being in the car for so long, but we managed to make it to Delta. We made the side trip to see the new addition to the family and boy is she a cute little chunk! It is crazy to me that my baby sister is now a mom. She is a good mom too! I didn't get any pics of the girls holding Harlie, but Nana did and I will have to get those later.

We finally made it home and Ty was so excited to be in her own home (and not sitting in her car seat) and the girls were excited to sleep in their own beds. It was a funtastic trip and I hope that the next get together isn't so far off. Thanks to everyone for making it a fun and relaxing (for the most part) trip.
