Lately

Ty has been taking swim lessons. She is awesome!! She is learning so much and despite the cold, is having so much fun.

Dan went to scout camp for a week. Oh boy did he have some incredibly funny stories when he got home.

Because he was gone, the crazies and I decided to take a girls trip to Utah.

We went to the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti.

This girlie was mad at me because I wouldn't buy her a snow cone. Apparently I am the worst mother. But the funny thing is she wouldn't leave my side all night and even sat on my poor lap almost the entire pageant.

We had kiddos pretend that they were pregnant.

When I was young, every once in a while on Sunday we would get together with a few family friends and have "treats". Everyone would bring a treat and the adults would sit around and chat and us kids would play night games and whatever else we could think of. It is such a great memory of home. We were able to have "treats" while we were there and it was so fun to see my kids running around playing with all the other kids and to also chat with my "family"!

We went to the Rez.

We also went horse riding.

A couple of my crazies went solo. Jo Jo rode without ANY help. She held the reigns and rode the horse all by herself. GiGi also rode by herself, but she had someone walk the horse. I was a proud and nervous momma. I am hating that I didn't get a pic of GiGi. At one point miss Jo Jo decided that she wanted to have the horse run and so Morgan got on with her and they had the horse gallop. Oh my gosh, she smiled forever after that. I haven't seen her that excited for a long time.

Jenna came down the night before we left. She took my twinners back to her house to stay there for a few days. And I came home with only 2 of my crazies.

I'm so grateful for this family of mine!

Graduation, Family, and Playset

This weekend was a lot of fun. We had the entire Brooks family together, which doesn't happen very often. Here is a recap of our last couple days.

Friday:

Kennerley graduated. She gave the Valedictorian speech and can I say how awesome she was. I am SO not a public speaker and she made it look so easy. She was so calm and very poised. We are extremely proud of you Ken! Good luck with the next chapter.

After the graduation we went to the park for some very good Firehouse Subs. It was very relaxed and fun.

Saturday:

We had breakfast at the Brooks' home. We then played around,

took some family pictures,

and went to the park.

Sunday:

We went to the Ropers for dinner.

Monday:

We were able to pick up the playset that the Ropers gave us.

We had to put the canopy over it because it is super hot, but the crazies love it!! Thanks guys.

What a fun weekend. I'm so grateful for family and laughter!

Congrats again Ken! We love you!!

We Love Visitors

On their way from Arizona to Utah, the Robisons made an overnight stop here in Vegas. And we were pleased to have them stop by the house to play and eat dinner (even though dinner was way late).

Hide and Seek was played in the backyard...(BTW I am NOT a fan of the rocks)

GiGi did not like our visitors so much. She cried and cried when they were too close to her. Made it hard to make dinner.

We love when family comes into town. I miss them all so much and it is good to see them when we can. Thanks for taking the time to come visit us guys! We love you!!!

My oh My....

....how I love my little crazies and my man. They make me so happy!!


They had some fun sitting on the counter tonight. Of course there were Nila Wafers that drew them there in the first place. Ty didn't want to share, but she soon realized that she had to share to get some herself.



And Ty loves her vest and hat. She wears them with everything and anything.

Too Long!

The alarm went off and I rolled over to see what time it was. '3:30? I have only been asleep for 3 hours. Weren't we suppose to get up at 4? Why did we decide to wake up and leave this early?' These were the things going through my mind early Friday morning. I had stayed up until 12:30 packing and getting everything ready so we could just get up, get in the car, and leave.
We got all the last minute things and our crazies in the car and headed out. Around 11am we pulled into Dan's brothers house. It was a nice car ride with the crazies sleeping for more than half of the trip. We went in and said our hello's and then got the girls in their swimsuits and headed out to a park to surprise Dan's mom. She didn't know that the whole family was there.
We all decided to play in different area's of the park when she showed up. When they got there and were walking through the park, she walked right past a couple of the grandkids (they were even saying their names.) When she got to the area that Jo Jo and Ainsley were playing in, she watched them for a bit and kept glancing at me. She looked at me and I looked at her and she kept looking at me. If I was a stranger it would have been a little bit awkward. Finally after a bit, she realized that it was me. Pretty funny that it took her so long.



At the park, there was a part were the water shoots up for the kids to play in. They had fun in it and Ty didn't want to be taken out of it. We had lunch and soon after eating a water fight erupted. Michele and I ended up getting completely soaked, which was fine because it was hot. Afterwards we went back to the Roper's house to clean up a bit.




We decided to go bowling. I haven't been for such a long time and the girls had never been. Everyone had such a good time even though we all sucked it up! After bowling, we went back home and had dinner, played games, the girls watched the kitty eat, and had light saber duels.






The next day we went to the Brooks' house and played hide-n-seek, board games, an eye game (Good job to Nathan for getting them all--Did you cheat? :) Just kidding.) We had lunch and a yummy ice cream cake for Ty's Birthday. Hugh and Dan had a hot dog eating contest which Hugh won. We had a family discussion and we were just able to relax and have fun with each other which hasn't happened for like 4 years. 4 years is a long time to not have the whole family together.






Sunday we went to the first hour of church and then said our goodbyes and took off. Ty HATED being in the car for so long, but we managed to make it to Delta. We made the side trip to see the new addition to the family and boy is she a cute little chunk! It is crazy to me that my baby sister is now a mom. She is a good mom too! I didn't get any pics of the girls holding Harlie, but Nana did and I will have to get those later.


We finally made it home and Ty was so excited to be in her own home (and not sitting in her car seat) and the girls were excited to sleep in their own beds. It was a funtastic trip and I hope that the next get together isn't so far off. Thanks to everyone for making it a fun and relaxing (for the most part) trip.
