My. Charleston

We took off on Labor Day to cool down from this awful heat. Mt. Charleston is the best place around to do so! We stopped at Firehouse Subs for our lunch and then headed up. We had fun talking with everyone and the kids had a blast climbing the mountain.

Always fun!! And I loved the cooler weather.

Treats and Friends

When we were on our way home from Mt. Charleston last week we talked about going back up before school started and have some friends go up with us.
And that is exactly what we did. Everyone brought treats and we had so much fun and enjoyed the weather. It was 30 degrees cooler than the valley!! Actually we ended up leaving because it started to pour on us. Heavenly! I love the rain. :)
The kids had a blast and you could tell by how dirty they all got.







I love all these families. We definitely need to do it again. So fun!

Mt. Charleston

We decided to take a little trip up the mountain today. We got a picnic ready and headed to Mt. Charleston. It was heaven! There was a 30 degree drop in weather, which was PERFECT, since it has been extremely hot (breaking records hot). We had a lot of fun.







We played the game that my family always plays-- dot dot. It was hilarious to watch the crazies, because they aren't quite sure of what they should do (even after telling them). I was laughing pretty hard.

Mt. Charleston

We took a little drive up to Mt. Charleston yesterday. It is pretty cool how it is complete desert and then you are in the mountains. There was actually a good amount of snow that we didn't really get to play too much in, because the girls' snow pants and coats have been lost. We did throw a few snowballs, walked around, almost got stuck and enjoyed the scenery. We went up to the ski park and had the girls watch the kids learn on the bunny hill. We told them that we will take them up next year and have them learn. That will be a funny site to see since they don't EVER want to try anything new!


We then stopped by Chilis to have some lunch and boy was Ty on one. At one point she didn't want anyone to touch the ketchup and so she just held it close to her and had her face on it. She is so dramatic...


and cranky!
