Birthday Time

The girls had a wonderful birthday. They woke up to decorations and presents and were so excited. They have been waiting for this day for quite a while.

Dan had to go to work at 12:30pm, so we had a morning party. We ate breakfast, got ready and then opened presents. The girls loved everything that they were given.

We then went to lunch at Jason's Deli (the girls wanted pizza) and we love that place. It is very yummy! Afterwards we came home, sang (which they wanted me to do all day long), blew out candles, and ate some cupcakes.

Dan then went to work and the girls played with their toys while Ty took a much needed nap. I went out to the garage to get something and when I came back in, at the top of the stairs (in the dark), was this scary girl. It was hilarious and we both laughed for awhile.

But she didn't think it was so hilarious when we took them off. They had stuck to her face pretty good and as you can tell, left the outline of the sticker on her face.

When Ty woke up I did some rearranging in their room. We bought a much needed shelf for the closet and moved the other shelf in the corner to put all their book in. I love it so much more.

The night ended with some very yummy mac and cheese (girls choice) and some visitors. Dave and Brandy stopped by to see the girls and wish them a happy birthday. We had fun with them until bed time and now I am enjoying the quiet and thinking how very lucky I am to be the mother of two very special little girls. I must have done something somewhat right!!!

To You!

Happy Birthday to you SB and Jo Jo!
You turn 4 years old today.
I can't believe it.
I love you so much and I hope your day is wonderful!

Spring?

It is so gorgeous outside today.
The girls rode their bikes for a bit.
The windows are open.
Wait, did I just say the windows are open?
It is January.
Shouldn't the windows be closed and the heat on?
I think that I like living here.
Now ask me if I like living here in July and August.
I think I might change my mind!!!

Phone Call

I had a very interesting phone call this morning.
"Hello"
"Hello. May I speak with Shirley?"
"There is no Shirley at this number."
"To whom am I speaking?"
"May I ask who I am speaking to?"
"Theresa?"
Apparently I don't speak clear enough.
"Who is this?" I ask.
I don't remember what name he said. "And who am I talking to?"
"What is this call in reference to?"
"Is this the number for (an address)?"
"No."
"Well then this is the wrong number."
"Uh Yeah!"
"Well you should change your number."
He then hung up and I started laughing. Honestly, who tells someone to change their number when they get a wrong number. People are so weird!

Uh Oh

Apparently we are loud. We got a notice on our door this morning reminding us that we have neighbors and we need to keep them in mind and that we signed a lease that states that we should "refrain from loud or boisterous noise...". It states the they have "received several complaints regarding banging and constant stomping..."
Ummm, have any of you met my three crazies? They are the ones in this picture.

There is a reason I call them my crazies.

Here they are playing Ring Around the Rosies.

And falling.

And then wrestling.

Any wonder why they hear banging and stomping!? I guess we won't be playing this game anymore.

And it doesn't help that I gave birth to this little one.

She is constantly falling. I mean it when I say that I have NEVER seen anyone be as clumsy as she is. Half the time she falls into the wall and so she always has bruises on her forehead.
What am I suppose to do with a toddler who likes to fall on a regular basis? What am I suppose to do with two 4 year olds who like to jump around, wrestle, dance, and be crazy?
I think our neighbors hate us. What do you think?

My oh My....

....how I love my little crazies and my man. They make me so happy!!

They had some fun sitting on the counter tonight. Of course there were Nila Wafers that drew them there in the first place. Ty didn't want to share, but she soon realized that she had to share to get some herself.

And Ty loves her vest and hat. She wears them with everything and anything.

What We've Been Doing

We have finally found a park that we love. I haven't gone through the whole list of parks, but I think we just might stick with this one. It is somewhat close and has some cool things to play on. It has been awhile since I have seen a merry-go-round, but this park has one. The crazies loved it and they talk about going to the park with the "round" all the time.

Ty likes to lay down.

We went to In-N-Out for dinner one night and Ty had some fun with the stickers. (More on her head later.)

We went to Breakfast with Grandma, Grandpa and David and the girls found this water wall that they had to play with.

The girls made their own cheese sandwiches the other day. Grandma and Grandpa got them their little aprons and they love to wear them.

Ty loves my shoes and is always in my closet putting some on.

Miss Z is here for a couple of days. The girls and her are "trying" to get along. They have their moments of fighting, but for the most part they are playing good together. They watched some movies, went to the park, played games, made brownies, and saw some fish.

Dan wishing we could leave and wander through Bass Pro some more.

We have been having some fun times!

2009

As 2009 has ended, I have been thinking of goals that I could, should, shouldn't make for 2010. I went over the goals that I made for 2009 and I was only able to complete half of them. They weren't all that hard, I just didn't do them. I haven't been able to think of any goods ones yet, but when I figure out what I would like to do, I will write them down for all to see.
2009 was a good year for us. Dan got a new job. We moved to Vegas. We hiked 21 miles in 13 hours. Two of my sisters had babies. My brother got married and had a baby. Dan's brother and his wife are finally expecting a little one. My sister and her family were sealed together forever! We took a vacation to Mexico. I had to do jury duty. We had many good times together and that is really all I can ask for.

Our New Year's Eve wasn't much of a party this year. Dan got pepper sprayed and so he ended up falling asleep at 9:30. You can kinda tell in his eyes!

We did go over to the Roper's early and had some food and played some games and then we came home, so the crazies could go to sleep. I watched a movie and ate some yummy ice cream.
I'm excited for a new year with new things to come . I hope that everyone had a good 2009 has a terrific 2010!

Christmas

Kinda late posting, but better late than never! I haven't had much time to do anything since the fun day.
We were able to go up to Delta for the occasion and I'm so glad that we were able to go. I'm not sure if it will be the last one with them or not, so it was fun to be with family. We got there a little late, so we missed the Christmas Story, but the girls opened their Christmas Eve presents and got pictures with the cousins who were there.

Christmas morning the kids all looked through the things that Santa brought. The twins got bikes and Ty got a sit and spin.

We then opened all our gifts. The kids had a lot of fun and loved all their gifts. Papa was able to sleep through the whole ordeal! Pretty impressive. He did work all night, so I guess it was okay.

Miss Z got a car from Santa and it was by far Ty's favorite present. She was in it more than anyone and would get upset if she couldn't get in it.

The rest of that day we just played, relaxed, watched movies, ate a yummy dinner, and enjoyed each others company.

These are the dresses that the crazies got for Christmas. Aren't they the cutest crazies ever!?!?

Ty has only two words that she uses more than once and they are: Cheese and Papa. She said Papa for the first time while we were in Delta and kept saying it. She was in love with him and only wanted him to hold her and if he put her down she would cry.

We left there on Sunday and came home to another party. Grandma and Grandpa came down and we opened more gifts. And then Monday we had Dinner with everyone and opened a couple more gifts. I didn't get any pics of the excitement so that is a bummer.
It was a really good Christmas and I am so grateful for everything that I have.
