It's Halloween

This Halloween was somewhat of a bummer. I don't know what was up with me. I usually love to decorate and get into it all, but I just didn't get there. I did a little decorating, but I took it all down last Monday.
Then I felt extra bad because Annie didn't get to go trick-or-treating. She has been having accidents lately and so I sat down with her (about a week ago after she had two within half a day) and we talked about the things that she could do and what should happen if she did it again. We finally decided that if she was to do it again she wouldn't get to go trick-or-treating. Well she had an accident. Then she had a melt down because I told her she wasn't going trick-or-treating. I felt so torn about the decision. She was having a hard time with it, but I think it was harder for me. I felt so awful taking this holiday away, but at the same time I didn't want to give in and let her go because, well, that defeats the whole purpose of discipline. So yesterday morning after a little break down when she was reminded that she couldn't go, I told her that I would think about letting her go if she was nice with her sisters (which she wasn't), if she didn't whine (which she did), and if she listened to Dan and I (which was here and there). Bedtime wasn't so peaceful and that is when the decision was made that she really wasn't going. She was still a little upset that she wasn't going, but I let her put on her costume and hand out candy to those who came to our door. She liked that and so she didn't even care anymore and was happy the rest of the night. She did get to go to a couple of doors at the end of the night, but that is because it was to family and their neighbors.

Utah and Halloween #2

Wednesday
We drove to Utah and hung out at the house.

Thursday
We went to Utah County to do a few things, pick up Jenna and the kids, and visit our fav Provo family. The kids LOVED playing with each other.



Friday
We hung out all day. We got a great deal on our pumpkins and had yummy pizza.

Saturday
Ty pretend fed the baby,

And we enjoyed having the whole family there.

Sunday
I was nasty sick, but had a visitor anyways. Thanks for driving to see us Sarah!

Monday
We played with the Ridings in the morning and then the kids went trick or treating at Nana's. They thought that was pretty exciting.


Ty had a rough time getting out of her costume so we could get dressed to drive home.

It was a fun vacation and I'm so glad that we were able to go.

Jello Popcorn

Different, but Good

Primary

The girls had their first primary program today.
Annie said "Prophets are called of God."
Jo Jo said "God speaks through Prophets."
They had their parts all memorized, but Annie needed help with hers. She has been saying 'Gods are called of Prophets' or 'Gods are called of God'.
But they both did wonderfully.

We haven't switched wards yet so the girls could be apart of this program. I'm very sad that it was our last week in the South Valley Ranch Ward. We have met many wonderful people and the girls have made quite a few friends. I'm grateful that we are still close so they can play with all the friends that they have. I'm just hoping that our new ward will be as great.

Halloween #1

Our apartment complex had a Halloween party today. They had food, a bounce house, treats, etc....
The girls were so excited to wear their costumes and go play.


As you can see Annie isn't wearing her costume, not because she doesn't have one, but because she had an accident yesterday and lost her chance to wear it today. She wasn't happy about it.






Annie has two more chances to wear her costume. Lets hope she doesn't have any more accidents!

Dessert?

Annie decided that she didn't want to finish her dinner and because she didn't finish she wasn't going to get dessert. We talked about it and she said she was fine with that and got down.
We kept her dinner on the table until everyone else was done and then we threw it away.
Well she wasn't really fine with it.
When Jo Jo was getting her dessert Annie completely lost it.

Mr. Z

I now have a new nephew.
He is healthy and perfect.
I was so sad that I wasn't there.
I am so excited to meet him in a week.
The crazies are also excited,
although Ty was more excited to see Papa in the pictures than the baby.
When Dan woke up, Scarlett was telling him that Mr. Z was born,
"He hopped out!"
It was so hilarious.
I'm not sure there was much hopping.
I'm sure there was hopping by Ms. Z though.

Wonderful Day of Riding

For some reason Jo Jo has been terrified of her bike lately. Just sitting on it freaked her out. She would scream at the top of her lungs if you put her on it and wouldn't stop until you took her off.
Today Dan finally talked her into sitting on her bike and just sitting there. Then while Dan was holding on to her with both hands, she was able to ride out of the garage and down the drive. She finally got brave enough to ride on her own--very very slowly. We have gone out a bunch of times and now she is excited to ride. She is still pretty slow, but at least she gets on it.
Annie on the other hand is awesome at riding her bike. She has been riding it every day and within the past few weeks her confidence has grown incredibly. She even rode one handed.



Now we are just hoping that Ty can start pedaling her trike.

Our Happenings

I don't remember where were we were going, but the girls were extremely happy!



Ty was wondering what was so funny.


Brandy and I went on a little getaway. We drove up to Mesquite to get some relaxation. I definitely needed it. We went to a movie, ate some yummy food, went swimming, got some sun, went to a spa and got a excellent massage. At one point I got a bit homesick for my lovely sisters, but it was a great time.


It has been cooler here this past week. We are all loving it. The girls sat outside after dinner one night and needed blankets to keep them warm. My favorite time of the year!!!

Moving

We are all moved in. Well there are a few boxes left to go through and then decorating, but we are done. It has been one long week getting everything moved and back together.
I am no stranger to moving, but I still hate it.
I never moved until I graduated. I actually lived in the house that my dad grew up in.


Oh how many memories I have from this lovely home. This is a picture after some changes were made. I don't have a picture of it today, but it is even more different. I love this home!!!!


Now when I left home after graduation I moved to Provo and lived with a few friends to work for the summer. I had some fun and sad times there.


When the summer was over I moved down to Cedar City to go to school. Oh how I love that small town. I lived in that apartment from August until May.


A few friends and roomates decided to go into a better apartment and so we moved down the street and lived there for a year.


Wanting to change up our lives a little, my roommate and I moved to Provo. Our little apartment was a dump. We were glad to get out of that place.


We only lived there for a few months and then we moved to Orem to a WAY better apartment.


Things didn't end so well at that house and after about 7 months or so we all split. I moved in with my brother and sister-in-law in American Fork. They were pregnant and only had a few months left.


Things didn't end well that time either, but for different reasons. I moved out and back into Orem. I lived here when 9/11 happened.


My sister and her friends were living in a house in Orem and had decided to move back home. Their contract was still going and so a few friends and I took over the contract.


When that contract was over I moved in with my best friend in a basement apartment. We lived there for a long while and we had TONS of fun times there. This home is where I met and fell in love with Dan. Oh memories!!!


After I got married, Dan and I moved into a townhouse by his sister and we lived there for another 6 months (it is in the same complex that my first place was when I graduated). It was more of a house sitting arrangement, but it had a piano and I was excited to play whenever I wanted. Whitney actually lived with us for a little while while we were here.


The people moved back and so we moved down the street into a small place. Jenna lived with us here. We found out we were having twins here. We loved this place.


When that year was over we were a month away from having twins and I was going to have to stop working and so we found a place where we wouldn't have to pay rent if we were night managers to the apartment complex across the street. It was an upstairs apartment in the same home that I lived in the basement apartment. Crazy times there!!! We only lived there for four months.


We found a small basement in a home not far away and we lived there the longest by far--over three years. It wasn't the best home, but it was in an AWESOME neighborhood and we made the best of it.


Dan finally got a job that he worked hard for, but we had to move out of the state. I had always been close to my family and it was going to be weird and hard to move so far away. We made the move to Vegas and lived in this apartment for a year. I liked it there.


We decided to move for many reasons and we are planning on staying here for awhile. The girls love it and I am so excited that I don't have to tell the girls to stop jumping or yelling.


I have been graduated from high school for 12 years.
I have lived in 15 homes since then.
That is a lot of moving.
