Our Weekend Fun!

We were able to go to Delta for our annual pumpkin party. We usually do it on the Saturday before Halloween, but since it fell on a Saturday this year, we decided to do it on Halloween. The girls picked out their own costumes this year and were so excited to wear them. They told everyone they saw what they were going to be a couple of weeks before Halloween. They actually have what they want to be next year already picked out. Crazy girls!!
I was totally unprepared for this holiday. I don't know what it was, but I just wasn't as into it as I normally am. I forgot many things like my costume, Ty's tights, some pumpkins, etc... Luckily Jenna was able to find some pumpkins for us and so we were still able to participate in the contest. Dan and I were nice enough to let someone else win this year. :)

Their Uncle Ryan was nice enough to take them out door to door after the trunk or treat. The only problem they ran across was when they were walking up to one door a dog ran up to them and started barking. They all started to scream and ran back to the car. If you know my girls you know that they are terrified of any kind of animals, so this wasn't a good thing.




And here is the look that I constantly get from this guy.

Sunday

After our lovely visitors left us Sunday morning, we spent the day lounging around. Dan had to study for his tests, SB was on a coloring high, and Jo Jo just wanted to suck her thumb and be with her daddy, which as you can tell in the photo, ended up in a nap. It was a good, quiet, lazy day.

Visitors

This last weekend, Jenna, Dustin, and Miss Z were able to come down and visit us. It was a good, but short weekend. I'm thankful that they were able to make the trip and I'm glad that we are close enough that we can visit each other over a weekend if we want.

We went out to the Hoover Dam on Saturday.




Ty is still in love with Dustin and was always following him around.



I asked Miss Z if she would like to stay with us for the week, but she didn't want to. She didn't want her mommy and daddy to leave without her. The biggest adjustment I've made is not having her around. Most of my days I find myself somewhat bored and I've realized it is because she is not around to keep the girls wound up and to be loud. She really is a lot of work and I'm excited to see what she turns out to be/do later in life. The girls had fun with her, they laughed a lot, ran around a lot, and told a lot of stories!


Thanks for coming guys. We love you and miss you. Hope that you are getting your house all put together. Can't wait to see it (decorated)!

Jo Jo and her new friend?

Jo Jo was doing really good not sucking her thumb during the day, until she got sick. Now she is sucking it ALL the time. She knows that she shouldn't be doing it either, because she will quickly pull it out whenever she sees me. Sometimes she will get into her bed (or mine) during any part of the day and pull the covers over her, like it is ok if she is in her bed.
Well anyways, tonight we were at my brother-in-laws house and I took Jo Jo to the bathroom before we left and while she was sitting there she says, "My thumb is crying."
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"My thumb is crying and wants her mom to put her in her mouth."
"Your thumb is crying?"
"Yes! And she wants her mom to suck on it."
I started laughing and left the bathroom.
Now I don't know if she has made her thumb a real (imaginary) being or if she was just being funny. And if she did make her thumb real should I be worried? And if it was real, why would she want to be sucked on all the time? She gets all shriveled up and wrinkly when wet. And I love how she refers to her mouth as her thumbs mom.

Oh Jo Jo you make me laugh so much. I don't know where you came up with it, but sure, whatever makes you happy.
I love you so much and your little thumb too!!!

Miss Attitude

Here is a conversation that I just had with SB

SB: Brings in a movie and says "Can I watch this movie?"
Me: "No!"
SB: "But I only watched this many movies." (Holding up two fingers)
Me: "I know, and you don't get to watch any more."
SB: "But I want to watch it."
Me: "You watch too much TV!"
SB: Leaves and comes back with another movie. "Can I watch this movie?"
Me: "SB, I told you no."
SB: "But I will be happy if I can watch it."
Me: "You will just have to be happy without watching it."
SB: "But if you don't let me watch it I will be mad at you."
Me: "I told you no more and I don't want to hear another thing about it!"
SB: "I will yell at you if I don't watch it."
Me: "If you yell at me you will go to your bedroom."
SB: Leaves whining that she wants to watch the movie.

She has such attitude and uses it all the time when she talks. She likes to put her hands on her hips and tell me that she is mad at me or that she doesn't like something. She has some serious attitude, but I love her still so incredibly much!

Note to Self

Croup + 103 degree fever = no sleep


The only thing that I hate about being a mother is that I can't make my little Jo Jo feel better. I can't make her sickness go away. All I can do is try to help her be comfortable, wipe away her boogers and tears, and hold her when she asks.


And when she finally falls asleep after a long night of little sleep, I look at her with all the love that I have and pray that my precious little baby gets better quick.

When asked why she chose this outfit to wear, she replied "So I will be hot!"

My Sister

Today is my beautiful sister, Shai's, birthday! We have spent many fantasticly fun years together and I hope that she has many many more to come. I love you sis and wish you the very bestest birthday ever!!!!

Where are You?

If we are trying to find the crazies we don't need to look to far...



Their closet is big enough (plus there is nowhere else for it to go) for all their toys and some. They like to play and hide in there and as you can see the shelf isn't against the wall, so they can play behind it. And most the time they are nice enough to let Ty play with them.

Little Miss Z

I'm thinking that I miss this little girl that is almost one of my own.


I really miss having the little chatterbox around. I would say that she is one of a kind, but I can't really say that because she is exactly the same as her mother.
The girls talk about her just like they would if she was there with them playing. They miss her and that is probably because they have been together pretty much every day since Z was one month old.
She is having a hard time having us gone, which makes it hard on me. I hate leaving her behind, but I know that in time she will be just fine.
Z, I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well today and I hope that you get better soon. I miss you and love you and we will see you in a couple of weeks!
