Utah, Thanksgiving, and a Baptism

We were able to go to Delta for Thanksgiving.

Saturday, we went to Utah County for a lovely baptism.

Thanksgiving

Dan had to work Thanksgiving night and so we ate a very yummy lunch. We got everyone looking.

Which is a miracle, because it is usually something like this...

I am so very thankful for my family. We have so much fun together and I couldn't imagine my life without them. They push me to the end of my wits, but they also push me to be better than I was yesterday. I am truly blessed!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

We were able to go to Delta for Thanksgiving this year. We left when Dan got home from work Wednesday morning. Poor guy didn't get hardly any sleep Wednesday. Here is what our car was like for a majority of the trip.





Thursday was a good day with family. Only Ryan and his family couldn't be there, so that was sad, but it was good to be with everyone else. Of course I didn't get a pic of the tables before the feast, so I got one of the after. I'm crazy like that. :)



The dinner was yummy and after dinner we gave my parents their Christmas gift (it was a group gift).

Maybe one day I'll get contacts again or even better, lasik, but until then I will have to hate the pics that show a glare in my glasses. I always forget to take them off. Oh, well.

Our day was wonderful and I have so much to be thankful for--My wonderful family, Dan's job, our home, our health, food, beds, clothes, living in America, technology, ice cream, the gospel, and so so so so much more.
I have been extremely blessed in my life. I know that I am not the best person, but I do try to show my Heavenly Father how thankful I am to him for everything. I am sorry if I haven't been a good example or have been mean to any of you. I truly am sorry.

And now here are the lists the girls gave me of the things that they are thankful for:

Jo Jo: Reindeer, elk, water, sunglasses, mom and dad, PJ's, elephants, animals, house, food, bow's for hair, drawing/coloring, movies.

Annie: Family, animals, Nana and Papa, kisses from mom and dad, toys, horses, shoes, pictures when I was a baby, sleep, books, movies.

Decorations, Santa, and Thanksgiving

I've been behind on my posts lately and that is probably because I don't feel like writing anything. I haven't been feeling well the past week or so and I am using that as my poor excuse to be somewhat lazy!
So to catch you all up on what has gone on in our lives. We put up all our Christmas decorations and the girls had a blast decorating the tree. As you can see a lot of the decorations are on the bottom and I will leave it exactly the way they decorated it. I love it!





The day before Thanksgiving we took the kids to the mall to go have a visit with Santa. All day I had been telling them that we were going to go see Santa and sit on his lap and tell him what we want for Christmas, because 'Santa gives us toys on Christmas'. They were so excited to go. When we get there, they see him sitting there and get all excited saying 'Santa Santa'. Zoey went first and she did awesome and then it was the girls' turn and they didn't do so well. I walked Scarlett up to him and she just started crying and didn't want to get anywhere near him. Dan was holding Hawley and she was doing the same thing. Finally Santa slid over so Dan could sit by him and hold the girls. Hawley went first and she told Santa what she wanted and was very excited to get some candy. Scarlett was hesitant to go even though she would be able to sit on Dan's lap, but she did and she talked to Santa for a bit and then got her candy. They waved and said goodbye and were happy as can be. Silly girls! Sorry about these pics, they were taken by Jenna's camer and she doesn't know how to work it.




Thanksgiving was a good time. We went to Delta and just hung out with family. We stayed until Saturday so we could go to the tree festival and then we came home. I didn't take any pictures, because I am so scatterbrained and completely forgot.
So there is an update of what is going on in our house. Nothing to exciting, but as long as things aren't crappy, I'll take it.
Oh by the way I am so excited because I am completely DONE with my Christmas shopping! YEAH!!!!!
