State Museum

They opened a new state museum at the Springs Preserve, so we decided to take an afternoon and visit. It was nice to see a history of Las Vegas, but it wasn't all that impressive. The best part was the mammoth at the beginning.

Ty was really scared of it. She wasn't going to get near it.

After we walked through there, we went over to Springs Preserve to see the new space section. Jo Jo was excited to see this space suit. (Mom, you will have to look and see if he is related at all!)

We walked around the gardens and played at the little playground and when we were about half way through the gardens, the crazies all started to whine and complain. So we took a shortcut and left.

Here Ty was just saying that her legs hurt and not wanting to walk.

The crazies faces are always bright red when they are out in the hot hot sun. People are always asking if they are sunburnt.

Springs Preserve

I found a great deal for Springs Preserve and couldn't pass it up. Friday we picked the girls up from school and headed over for some fun. The exhibit this month is all about poop. Yes poop! It was gross and somewhat informative.




They were also decorated for Halloween.



Ty didn't like the decorations at all.


We rode a train...


And a turtle...


And sat in the beautiful garden for awhile.



It was a great day!

Springs Preserve

We wanted to do something with the Roper's and so we all decided to go to the Springs Preserve (bonus: it was free day!) We met there at noon and instantly the twins cheeks got all rosy-- it was a toasty day.


There are a ton of things for the kids to do and they had a blast trying everything and looking at the animals and insects they had. We didn't go around the whole park (it is huge), but what we did see and do was great.
Ty was brave enough to pet this bunny all by herself.


The kids all loved the mist. I think it is funny that the girl on the left was smiling for the camera of strangers.


The sun was too bright for Annie to be interested in these homes.

It is a great place and we will definitely be going back when it gets cooler!
After the park we went to Sonic to get some food and drinks (I haven't done happy hour at Sonic for a long time--Yummy) and then to the Roper's house to hang out. It was a fun evening.
