It all started around June of 2003...A bunch of new guys had moved into our ward. One Monday night I decided to go to a Family Home Evening soccer activity that they were having and 3 of these new guys ended up being there. I was about to leave (I was by myself and not in much of a social mood), when Bryce told me to stay and talk with them. So I sat down on the grass and chatted with them for a little bit. They were all the social type and flirty with all the girls, so I didn't really do much about anything. Well in between church, ward prayer, FHE, and Sunday dinners I ended up really liking one of them named Dan. He was hilarious and made me laugh a ton. We always flirted and had such a good time together. He had a motorcycle and it took him a while before he even gave me a ride, cause there were girls always in line for a ride. Even Dan will tell you that he wanted to give me a ride, but he always had other girls asking him, so he couldn't). On August 8, 2003 he took me out on our first date. We went to the Macaroni Grill and to Ozz to play pool--I totally kicked his butt the first round and let him win the second round. He doesn't think that that is the way it was, but it really was. Well we started hanging out whenever we had an excuse to and on September 22 he finally kissed me. From then on we pretty much were together whenever we could be. On October 23 we became officially boyfriend/girlfriend. On November 1 we were just chilling at my house and he told me that he thought that he was falling in love with me. Pretty dang cool, since I have never been in love with anyone. Then on November 3 we said 'I love you' for the first time. During the month of November we talked about marriage and set up May for the big day. On December 8, 4 months after our first date, he asked me to marry him! We ended up getting married on June 11, 2004 in the Manti Temple. It was the best decision that I have ever made. He has made me so incredibly happy!
There is a reason for all this rambling and reminiscing--this Friday is a big day for my man. He is finally GRADUATING!!! I am so proud of him and all the sacrifices and things he does to make this family work and to reach the goals that he has set for himself. He is graduating in Criminal Justice and has sent in his application to the FBI. Now we have to wait and see if they want to hire him. I hope that he gets it and soon, cause he so deserves it. He has worked so hard.
Dan is such an amazing man and I love him so so much. He has so many fine qualities, which is why I love him so much. I honestly can say that no one can make me as happy as he makes me. He makes me laugh everyday. He is an amazing father. The girls have him wrapped around their little fingers. He spoils them way too much!
Dan, I love you so much and I am so proud of this accomplishment that you have made. I can't wait to see what happens next in our crazy life! I hope that you are happy and that you remember that you are and always will be my bestest friend and lover!!!
Love,
Tiffy Ann
