Our 3rd Anniversary!

On June 11, we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary. Since it fell on a Monday, we dropped the girls off at Ryan and Ali's place on Friday and left for the night. We traveled up to Midway and stayed at a bed and breakfast called 'Johnsons Mill'. Any of you who need someplace to go, you should stay there. It is beautiful.


Our room was called the Waterfall Terrace. It was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the waterfall, pond and river. Gorgeous! They served us breakfast on the patio by the waterfall. Is was YUMMY!

After breakfast, we walked around the property and down the driveway, there was a playground. So of course, we went and played.

Later we went and watched 'Oceans Thirteen' and when we were ready, we picked up the girls and went to dinner. On Monday, Sarah watched the girls and we went to our Restaraunt 'Macaroni Grill'---the place we went on our first date.

This was a fun anniversary and I am so happy that I have the best guy in the world to share my life with. He is absolutely my soul mate. I love him so much! I can't wait for the many more memories that we will have!

Brownies....

Scarlett and Hawley love being on the chairs in the kitchen, so Dan let them help him make some brownies--My favorite. They had a lot of fun helping him.

Cascade Springs

On Sunday, we wanted to go up into the mountains and have a picnic, but the girls were so tired after church that we just gave them a quick lunch and put them down for a nap. When they woke up, we decided to take a few snacks and go up for fun. We eventually ended up at Cascade Springs. It is beautiful.

The girls had a blast walking around and watching the water. If Hawley saw something that she liked, she would squat down and watch it for a little bit and then she would stand back up and keep walking until she saw something else. It was so cute. Scarlett would walk until there was a waterfall and she would stop and ooh and aah. Then she would move on to the next one.

They enjoyed it just as much as we did and so I think that we will have to do it more often. Not necessarily Cascade Springs, but the mountains in general. They need someplace to run and climb and get dirty. Dan calls them his little monkey goats. They are always climbing on or wanting to hang onto something.

4 Generations

91 years old and going strong!!! Grammy is so beautiful and funny and I am so lucky to have her in my life. It would be so awesome if she would move back to Delta and be where I could visit her more often. I don't get to see her very often. Maybe 1 or 2 times a year.

Can you image yourself at 91 with many many great grandchildren? It is so crazy to think that one day we will be there.

Memorial Weekend

We love going to Delta. The girls have a blast and we can relax and have a great time. Shai bought a swimming pool for fun times this summer. It has a giraffe head that blows up and shoots water onto the slide, when we turned it on the girls freaked out. They wouldn't get near the pool after that. We had to let the air out of the head and hide it and then they would maybe put their hands in the water. Funny funny girls!!!! They loved playing in the house that Jenna and Whitney got for Christmas when they were like 2 and 3 or something. They had a blast opening and shutting the windows and door.

I'm so glad that we have places to go and relax and hang out with family to reconnect.

Good Days...

Today has been a fun day! We have just been playing around and having a blast. The girls are wearing the very cute capris that I finally got around to buying. Now they are ready for summer! I so enjoy being a mom. It is so rewarding, especially when they just walk up to you and give you loves for no reason at all! I am so lucky to have the family that I have.

Our 1st Haircuts!

Today was a big day for us. The girls had their first haircuts, and boy, was it a chore!!! They wouldn't sit still for anything. I did get it straight though, so that is all that matters! Plus Hawley doesn't have her fun mullett anymore---thank heavens. :) Scarlett still has some curl in the bottom of hers, so it doesn't look all that straight, but it is.

Dad has such fun ties...

Dan had the girls help him pick out a tie for church this morning, but it got a little bit crazy! Scarlett was helping and then decided to just take them all off of the hanger. I grabbed them and threw them on top of her and she just played in them for a long time.



Hawley wasn't as happy to play with them!!!

Swimming is so fun!!

We got out the swimming pool a week or so ago and the girls have been having a blast in it. They didn't get to play in it much, because I am by myself during the day and when I am watching Zoey it can get pretty crazy. So on Saturday, when we are all home, we bought some little swimmers and put on their suits and they had a blast going down the slide and just playing around. I remember last summer when they were still so small that we had to hold them in the pool so they wouldn't fall over. How fast they grow! This will be a fun and exciting summer!!!
