Dan has had to work every Friday and Saturday night since February. Because of that, we don't really do anything. A lot of the time I don't have the energy or desire to take the crazies out by myself. But I decided that I need to stop being a slacker mom, and do fun things with my girls. Since it is cooler and they were playing a movie that we haven't seen at the outdoor picture show, I decided to surprise the crazies and take them. Thankfully my friend, Melonie, brought two of her kids and made it a little bit more fun and easier (especially for potty breaks). The movie was "Mirror Mirror" and I can say that I liked what I saw, but we weren't able to finish it because we got sprinklered out. Yes, they forgot to turn off the sprinklers and they came on at the end of the movie. It was set to go off in sections, so by the time it got to our section, we had already moved to the sidewalk so we didn't get wet, but there were some people who didn't move and they weren't so lucky.
The kids were all bummed out that they didn't get to finish it, but we had a talk about how to laugh at things like this and that we will be able to rent it and finish it.

It was a fun night and I'm so glad that we went. Maybe I'll get the courage to do something fun again another day. We'll see. :)

Back Yard

It has been wonderful with it cooling down. The crazies have been having so much fun outside. I am so glad that we have something for them to play on.
You can find them out in their dresses.

Out in the rain.

While learning to walk in shoes.

In a diaper.

And with friends.

We had some friends from our church move in across the street from us (and there is a family down the street), so our house has become that "house". And I actually like it. I have always wanted to have my kids' friends want to come to our house, I just didn't think that it would start this early. :)

Annie and her new (for now) boy toy, Cooper.

I am so blessed with everything in my life. So blessed.

1st Day of School

It is her turn now.

She loves going to preschool, but hates waiting all week long for school day. Oh and she LOVES her teacher, Melonie!

Ever since we went to California, the girls will ask if they can go eat some crab legs. So while we were at Albertsons, we bought some. Here are the results...

They loved it!

My. Charleston

We took off on Labor Day to cool down from this awful heat. Mt. Charleston is the best place around to do so! We stopped at Firehouse Subs for our lunch and then headed up. We had fun talking with everyone and the kids had a blast climbing the mountain.

Always fun!! And I loved the cooler weather.
