Dan has had to work every Friday and Saturday night since February. Because of that, we don't really do anything. A lot of the time I don't have the energy or desire to take the crazies out by myself. But I decided that I need to stop being a slacker mom, and do fun things with my girls. Since it is cooler and they were playing a movie that we haven't seen at the outdoor picture show, I decided to surprise the crazies and take them. Thankfully my friend, Melonie, brought two of her kids and made it a little bit more fun and easier (especially for potty breaks). The movie was "Mirror Mirror" and I can say that I liked what I saw, but we weren't able to finish it because we got sprinklered out. Yes, they forgot to turn off the sprinklers and they came on at the end of the movie. It was set to go off in sections, so by the time it got to our section, we had already moved to the sidewalk so we didn't get wet, but there were some people who didn't move and they weren't so lucky.
The kids were all bummed out that they didn't get to finish it, but we had a talk about how to laugh at things like this and that we will be able to rent it and finish it.
It was a fun night and I'm so glad that we went. Maybe I'll get the courage to do something fun again another day. We'll see. :)
