New Years

Dan is working overtime tonight. So it is just me and the crazies!
But before Dan went to work, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and went to the park. It was GiGi's first time. She loved it.

Remember when Jo Jo did this for the first time?

Well Ty is showing her up. (Sure there is a year and a half difference, but it is taller.)

After Dan went to work I put GiGi down for a nap and shortly after that he called because he forgot something. So I woke up GiGi and we drove up to give it to him. Since we were out, we went to the store for a couple treats. While there we found these super cute glasses.

We had dinner then we watched a couple of movies and ate our ice cream and then I sent the crazies to bed. Now I am watching 'The Holiday' seeing if I can stay up til midnight. Next time I write it will be 2012. Crazy. This year has gone by so fast. So goodbye 2011. You've been a good one, but I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us.

The Last Week of 2011

This week has been a really relaxed week.

The girls did some art projects with their new art sets.

Makeup was involved.

Dan and I finally went and bought a camera. I am so excited. Our old camera has been slowly falling apart. The flash only worked on a certain setting and if you had it on any other setting, all pictures would be blurry. Our new one is awesome and I'm so happy we finally got a new one. Thanks to both sets of parents who helped us get it. Most of these pics were taken with it.

We went to Springs Preserve, but forgot the camera and so no pics. Aunt Sarah and Grandma went with us.
Now its time to celebrate the New Year!!!

Makeup made an appearance in the stockings this year. Of course it was some crappy stuff, but the kids had fun with it until I made them throw it away and promised to buy them better stuff.
Here is Ty getting ready to marry her Daddy.

We woke up this morning with little crazies super excited to go downstairs. They sat on the stairs so patiently until we were ready to go down. (While we were sitting there I could of sworn that I smelled pee. Oh well.)

Santa did a great job with the gifts that he brought.

Everyone was so happy especially this cute bride.

While we were preparing to open our presents, I smelled pee again and so I asked if someone had gone in the night, but noone answered me. So I smelled everyone. I found the culprit--Jo Jo. After she went upstairs to clean up, I asked her why she did it and she said that she didn't want to get out of bed just in case Santa was at our house. Which means that she slept most the night like that. GROSS! But also hilarious!
Finally we opened all of our presents.

After opening our gifts we got ready for church and attended a spirit filled meeting. We then came home, ate lunch, sent Dan off to work, played with our toys and games, and watched a movie.

Happy Christmas!!!

The Eve of Christmas

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite parts of Christmas: the excitement, the preparation, the waiting, the traditions, and just the overall joy of it all. For lunch we had...
Nachos (yes they like just eating the cheese)

and Slobber

We watched The Muppets Christmas Carol

Dan has to work tomorrow (Christmas Day) and so we had our dinner tonight. The girls made the place cards (yes that says Mam).

After dinner we went for a drive to see some lights. The crazies loved it!

Then is was time to go home and open our eve presents, read the story of the birth of Jesus, and set out our yummies for Santa and the reindeer.

I'm pretty sure Santa had a fun time setting out all the gifts as well. Here's to hoping that he gave all the right gifts! :)

Friends and the Nativity

We went to a friends house for some Christmas fun. We decorated cookies (so hilarious--I wish that I would have taken pictures), talked, and the kids "acted" out the nativity.
Here are the actors.

And since I know you all want to see how it went, here is a clip. Sorry that it isn't the best, it was shot on my phone.

I'm so grateful for the great friends that we have made here. They are truly the best!

So here is what our little baby GiGi accomplished today.

Of course she can't flip back over, but that will come.
She is getting so big.

5 Months and 32 Years

My baby turned 5 months today. It is crazy how short of a time she has been with us, but it feels like forever! This little girl is such an awesome spirit. She is so happy all the time and I can always count on her to make me smile.

It is also my birthday. Yeah! Yesterday Dan and the crazies got me an Edible Arrangements. Yummy fruit!

I found the shoes that I have been wanting on sale and got them for Dan's gift to me. What a great hubby huh!?!

Sunday birthdays aren't so fun, but today was super busy. We went to church at 11, I had choir practice at 3:30, then I had a 'Night of Choirs' at 6:30. I was happy to come home and have some jello cake and then just relax.

Someone did make my day when he said that I only looked 27. Bless him.
32 seems crazy, but I'm happy with my life.

The Start of Christmas

We had some fun in the kitchen baking yummy sweets. The crazies loved being able to help.

We strung some popcorn. And I just have to say it sucked. I poked my finger too many times and it took forever to do just one string.

We were super lucky to get Melynda to take our pictures. She was booked until January, but my friend let us join her session.
I love them.

We got our tree!

Dan was putting it up and it toppled over onto Jo Jo. It was so hilarious.

Annie was upset that it didn't fall on her and she tried to get under the tree so she could have her picture taken. She was mad at me when I didn't let her. I'm such an awful mom.
Here is Ty needing to be in the picture.

Putting on the lights.

And the decorations.

And here is what GiGi was doing. Love her!!!
