Red Rock Canyon

Dan decided that we should go to Red Rock Canyon today even when I told him that it was cold and we should go another time. We didn't do much because it was cold, but it was a nice drive and it is always nice to see the beautiful earth.
We stopped at the visitors center and walked around there for a bit. Of course the crazies were scared of the big fat FAKE lizard in the middle of the floor, but I forced them to get on it. I grabbed Jo Jo to go sit on it and she was pretty tense until we were on top of it and she realized that nothing was going to happen.

Then I had to actually chase Annie down to get her on it.

Finally some nice people asked if they could take our picture of the whole family. Those don't happen too often!

Here are the crazies outside the center.

We found a picnic area, but the wind started blowing pretty good and it was cold, so we ate in the back of the Acadia. The crazies thought it was the funnest lunch they have had in a long time.

I can't wait to go back and actually hike some places.

Little Miracles

Aren't new babies complete miracles? They are so precious and sweet and tiny. For nine or so months they have gone from a little egg to this perfect little being.
I love everything about them.
My bro-in-law and his wife just had their little miracle. They have had some difficulty for a long while which makes this even better. He is such a sweet little thing at 6 lbs and 7 oz and he has some good strong lungs. I'm sure they will enjoy that in the middle of the night.
I'm even more excited to watch them be parents. They will be wonderful parents, and I am sure that there will be many funny moments.
Congrats Dave and Brandy. I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to play more with the little guy! The crazies can't wait to meet him either.

The Carousel

There is a carousel not far from our house and so we decided to take the crazies for a ride. Ty wasn't too sure about getting on, but once it started she was so excited. Annie rode a pink horse, Jo Jo rode a blue horse, and Ty rode a tiger. They were pretty upset when it stopped and they asked to ride some more and I told them not today.
Apparently I'm the worst mom.

We finally went swimming for the first time since we moved down here.
I am not suppose to get into the water yet (because of my surgery), so we put Ty down for a nap and the twins went swimming with Dad. They were so excited. They were a little bit nervous at first, but then they started jumping off of the side and going under the water. I'm sure Ty will be so excited when she gets the chance to go. She loves the water.
I'm looking forward for them to get more used to the water and for the twins to start swimming a little bit. That is our goal this summer.

Here are some random photos...
Here are the crazies sitting in the windows.

Ty LOVES to lay in anything for a baby. If there is a car seat around it is the first place she will go. We had ours out awhile back and she played in it all afternoon.

Here is Ty laying underneath the table. For some reason it is one of her favorite places to be lately.

Here is a few of our weekend in Delta when we went for Grammy's funeral. I was a slacker with my camera and didn't take any pics. These ones were taken by Morgan--I was surprised there weren't any crazy faced ones.

The Dobson's gave Ty Miss Z's old tricycle. She doesn't quite get it, but the girls love it and ride it everywhere. I think right now they like it more than their own bikes.

Jo Jo came to up to me and told me that she needed to throw up, so I told her to go do it. (They use this excuse all the time.) She went into the bathroom and I could hear her in there pretending to gag and so I went to look and found her like this. I thought it was so funny how her legs were wrapped around the toilet and her arms resting on the seat. She is a character!

A random one of Ty laying with her "bebe" that she shouldn't have. Most the time I don't like to deal with the drama, so I let her have it.

I have no idea how she can sleep this way, but somehow little Annie manages.

The twins love to be sweet with Ty. They will sometimes get upset if Ty lets one hold her and not the other. And then there are times when they just get along and are completely sweet with one another no matter what. I like those days!

My Rye Rye

The twins always call my brother "My Rye Rye". This is mainly because Miss Z has an Uncle named Rye Rye and this is the way they differentiate the two.
They also LOVE his phone.
Whenever they see him the first thing that comes out of their mouths isn't "Hi" or "I missed you", it is "Rye Rye can I play with your phone?"
Not to long ago Jo Jo saw a picture of Ryan and said "That is my Rye Rye. He has a phone I like to play with." I guess it is a good thing that he has this phone otherwise they just might not like the guy!
He is really good to them and they love when he plays with them.

We haven't been doing much lately since I am still on the mend. But here are a few pics of the crazies.
I was taking a pic of Ty looking so gorgeous with all of her fancy jewelry....

and then the girls wanted to get their pics taken and it turned into a photo shoot. Those girls kept doing new poses and then asking me to take their picture. It was pretty funny some of the things they thought of. Here are a few of those sassy girls.

And here they are totally laughing because I told them to try to do the splits and explained what that was. When they did it it hurt their legs. At least when they are in pain they laugh it out!

Doesn't she look sexy with that crown upside down and those too small shades?!

In Memory

January 29,1916 - April 11, 2010
You know, I'm not completely sad about the passing of my fantastic Grammy. She was 94 years old and has had a wonderful life. Plus she has wanted to go for so long that I am just happy that she is now in a place where she can be tremendously happy and pain free. I'm sad that I won't be able to see her anymore and talk with her about her life. I've been able to visit with her and see her more lately and I'm so grateful for that time.
When I knew that she wasn't going to be around for much longer I was thinking about everything and then I got to thinking how awesome it would be to see the reunion between her and her husband, her son, and her father (and everyone else in her family). Her dad died when she was only 6 or 7. Her son was 20 or so when he died. And her husband died 12 years ago. Oh how lovely it would have been to see the excitement!
I loved the way Grammy and Grandpa always had candy in their car when they would come and visit. Oh how I crave her spaghetti and wheat bread. I remember when she showed us how to make her spaghetti, we wrote every step down, but we still can't make it like she made it. I haven't tried to make her wheat bread, maybe I should get on that! I remember the fun times that we had in their place in Salt Lake, and the couple places in St. George. We always had a lot of fun and she was always so kind and wonderful.
My crazies absolutely loved her. They loved playing with the stuffed animals that were from New Zealand and trying to play with the "dolls" (that were off limits) that Grandpa made.
I am grateful for her example and the love that she showed each and every one of us.
I've gone through my pics and this is the only one I have of us from my younger years. Mom, isn't there more? We went to their house ever month. Nice head Moo Moo!

Tuesday I wasn't having the best luck with locking me out and stuff, and the night didn't disappoint. I woke up at 1:30am having an "episode" as I like to call it. When my gallbladder flares up I receive heart attack like symptoms. It really sucks and it hurts like crazy. Well this time I was also hit with major nausea. Needless to say, I didn't sleep real well that night. When we left to go to the hospital at 11:30, I was still in pain and couldn't wait to get the stupid, irritating thing out of my body. My doctor was amazing and was able to do it with one small incision. A TINY incision. In my belly button. You can barely see it. Although you can see the swelling and bruising. :) It took a little longer than they said, but that was because he was doing it with one incision and because it was inflamed. I was planning on being home around 4 or so, but nope. I didn't even wake up until 5:30. The nurse kept saying that I must be really tired because I just slept and slept. I finally left around 7.
*I want to thank all of you for your well wishes. I'm grateful to all of you.
*Morgan, Thank you for taking the girls. I am extremely grateful to have you as my baby sister. I hope you had a fun time with them. I love you.
*Shai, Thanks for playing with them and letting them make a mess of your house. They love going to your house. I love you and I'm so glad that we are as close as we are!
*Dad, Thanks for driving them to St. George. I would have loved to be in the backseat of that car ride. You are awesome and I love you so much. Thanks for EVERYTHING!
*Brandy, You are so amazing. Thank you so very much for taking care of me and for waiting way longer than expected. I'm so glad that we live so close and we can get to know each other better. I love you.

I'm doing well. It is amazing how almost everything you do involves your abs. Kinda hurts to move around. I'm glad that it isn't the longest recovery time.
Ali- It hurts, but I'm all for this hurt for a short time if that means that I don't have to deal with the episodes that I was getting. Plus I can eat whatever I want now! :)

I am getting a two day vacation!
The crazies are in Utah.
I locked myself out of my complex and my home. I'm inside now (thanks Dave), but that wasn't a very good start.
I am praying that tomorrow I don't have that same luck.
Tomorrow I will get my legs massaged.
And I will be sent to dream land.
As I get my gallbladder taken out.
It is going to be like going to the spa.
Without the soothing music, pedicure, and whatever else goes on at the spa.
(I really need to get a pedicure.)
I will have almost two whole days of relaxation and recovery.
Without chaos, and crazies.
I'm so excited.
That is so sad.
Wish me luck!

Our Easter

We had plans to go to Delta, but things came up and there ended up being no get together. Instead of staying home, we decided that we would head up to St. George to visit my beautiful Grammy (my parents were there). We went up on Friday and came home Saturday. It was a good time. Uncle Gary had come up for the weekend and it was good to see him and talk with him. The Dobson's had a funeral to attend and so we were able to see them as well. It has been a while and so it was good to chat with them for a few minutes.

We had to eat at yummy Texas Roadhouse while we were there. Yes his shirt says that he loves me. What a wonderful hubby! :)

Dan had to go into work at 2pm, so we didn't have anything planned for Easter. The girls woke up and were SOO excited that the Easter Bunny came. We watched conference, played a little bit, and went to dinner at my sister-in-laws parents home. The girls loved the coy pond that they had in the backyard. I'll be hearing about those fish for a couple weeks.

Ty wanted to wear the twins shoes instead of her own. Isn't her face fantastic!!!
