Crash and Burn

The week before we moved, Jenna watched the girls every night while I went to work (Dan was already in Vegas.) Well one night as I was leaving, Scarlett decided to take a tumble. She was on the second to bottom step and tripped and....

No worries, her face broke her fall!
The faint red circle on her forehead was a nasty bruise and the scabs are starting to come off now. Soon she will look as good as new.

P.S. We are moved and I'm still getting things in order. We have too much stuff!! Maybe when things are a little bit more in order I'll take a couple pictures.

Yummy Food

Tye loves to eat by herself. She does a very good job, for the most part...

The other day while I was at work, Dan ordered some pizza for dinner. The girls were so excited that someone was actually going to bring their dinner to our house that they made sure to be at the door when it came. When the delivery guy turned to leave Jo Jo started to laugh and said (loud) "Daddy, that boy has a ponytail." She thought it was the funniest thing that a guy would have a ponytail--Since as we all know, ponytails are only for girls! :)
The next day while we were eating breakfast, Jo Jo told me that "the pizza guy had a ponytail. He is so silly" and started to laugh. She is such a funny little girl and I am so happy that I am her mommy!!! Just as a side note, she isn't sucking her thumb during the day anymore. Yeah for Jo Jo!!!

Date Night

Dan and I dropped the crazies off at Jenna's house for Julie to watch them while Jenna, Dustin, Dan, and I went on a double date. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and since it was an 85-95 minute wait, we took a drive to look at the house that they are hoping to buy. After looking at the house and getting a little lost, we got back to the restaurant and our table was the next one called. It was perfect timing. The company was terrific, the music and dancing was great, the food was remarkable and I was completely stuffed.

Thank you Julie for watching all the crazies. They had a fun time.

It was so nice to get out of the house. Things have been crazy around our house and it is going to stay crazy for awhile. Dan left me this afternoon and is starting the academy tomorrow. I won't see him until Saturday when I move down.
It is very bittersweet to be moving. We have wanted to move out of our house for some time, so I am excited to have something new, but it is sad that I will be leaving my family.

Toys and the Mailman!

I was going through some pictures and found this one and remembered that I never posted about it.

One day the girls and I were just sitting around and there was a knock at the door. I got it and it was the mailman with a box for SB, Jo Jo, and Tye from their Grandma. We opened it and there were toys! The girls were so excited. They immediately told me "We love that Man!" Of course I told them that the dollies were from Grandma and not the mailman, but they didn't really care, the mailman was the one that brought it to them and so he was the best. They even wanted to make him cookies to give to him for being so nice and bringing them presents.
Sorry Grandma, they really do love you, but maybe you should have brought it to them in person! :)

I wish that my house looked like this...

Instead, it looks like this...

Oh the joys of moving! Since I took this picture, we have gotten rid of a few things with our yard sale and so it looks a little bit cleaner, but the pile in the corner isn't even half of our stuff.

Who in their crazy mind wants to live in Vegas? It is deathly hot, in the middle of the desert, do they even have seasons? I know it snowed there last year, but isn't that a somewhat rare occurrence? Plus none of my family lives near there.

I'm guessing you have all guessed it, but yes, we will be moving to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks. Dan was offered the job and starts the academy on the 21st. It is hard to believe that we will actually be leaving, since he started working with them in April or something like that. I'm sad to leave my family, but I'm extremely happy for Dan. He is getting out of Unicity and he is excited about that. I'll post more later, I just thought you would all want to know.

Sisterly Affection

My crazies do get along and love each other. Just look at these photos.

Soon after these were taken, Jo Jo started crying because she wanted Ty to lay on her, which didn't happen.

Laying around like this doesn't happen to often, but because last night two of the crazies were throwing up, they are pretty mellow today. Plus Z isn't here. Her mother thinks that it would be wise not to have her at my house today. Whatever Jenna!
I do have to thank heavens that Dan came home just in time to help me with all the nastiness. I think that single parents are amazing that they do it all themselves all the time. I can do it by myself most of the time, but there are times when I definitely need a break and I'm glad that I can send Dan in to do the dirty work. Anyways, the girls are better today. Jo Jo had an upset stomach when she was eating her yogurt, but has been fine since. Miss Ty is doing just fine. Luckily SB didn't get sick and hopefully she doesn't.

Family Traditions? I hope not!

The faces they are making aren't laughing faces. They are pretending to cry.
