My Day Just Got Better!

I don't know if any of you know, but I am very very easy to make happy! Just the littlest of things make my day. I have had one of those days. My silverware drawer has been the most disastrous thing ever since we moved into this shabby house. Here is the embarrassing proof...

Many of you are probably wondering why I don't have a silverware holder and I will tell you why. The drawers in my kitchen are such small weird little areas and a holder wouldn't fit. It isn't on the top of my list, so whenever I go to the store I always forget to look for something.
Well the other day I was getting a frame or something and I happen to glance down an aisle and there they were. The perfect containers to hold my silverware and on the plus side--they were only $1. When I got home, I immediately arranged the drawer and can I tell you how excited I was. Like I said before, the littlest things make me happy. It is such a magnificent thing to open that little drawer and not have to dig through the mountain of spoons, forks, knives and sporks. My day just got better!

4 Months Already

The past 4 months have gone by so fast. Tyda is getting so big and is so fun. She is talking and laughing like crazy! Everyone says that she looks just like the twins, what do you think?

This is Tyda at 4 months.

This is the twins when they were 4 months.

New Quilts

We got a package today with some fun new stuff. Grandma Brooks sent the girls their finished quilts (and a couple of shirts :)). She has been working on these quilts for awhile and I was excited to see them all done. They turned out WAY cute. Thanks Grandma your the best! Zoey was pretty bummed when I took them out and I didn't have anything for her. She actually ran to the door and cried for her mom. Poor Zoey!

Hawley's Quilt

Scarlett's Quilt

This video is for you Grandma. It doesn't show how excited they were at first, but I got some of their excitement.

Thanks again. They are gorgeous. I'm excited to see Tyda's!

Cassette Tapes

I knew that there was a reason that they stopped making cassette tapes...it is because it was such a hassel to keep the kids from making a mess with them! When I pulled out my halloween totes the beginning of October I found this sound effect halloween tape. I haven't had a cassette player for the longest time, so I just threw it on the ground and if the kids got to it, then who cares. Well they did get to it and the rest is history! Pretty much the instant that they had it they were pulling the tape out of it. They had fun playing with it!

It is pretty cool how far we have come with the technology that we have. I'm glad that I live today when we have all the things that we use every day. What a blessing it all is!!!

We have another....

Hawley didn't start sucking her left thumb until she was about 6 months, but we now have our little Tyda sucking her two middle fingers on her right hand. She will be 4 months next week. We are on a roll... 2 out of 3. How many more will we have? If we are anything like my family, the rest will follow in suit. My mom had six kids and only Ryan (the oldest) didn't suck anything (although he sucks now! :) Just kidding Bro!). I do have to admit that it is easier than a paci--it never gets lost or falls and it is very cute when a baby does it, but it is much harder to break the habit.

Hawley at 6 months

I guess we will just have to wait and see what comes our way!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I am a bit deafer (is that a word?) today. We had the opportunity to attend the TSO concert last night. It was just as good as last year! I really enjoy watching them and listening to the loud music. It was really funny to watch a couple of people down on the floor--they were pretty crazy and annoying. We had pretty good seats, which is a plus. If you haven't been to one of their concerts you should see about going. I love it!

This is Dan and I after the concert. I did take a couple pics of the concert with my phone, but I haven't put them on the computer yet. So if I get around to ever putting them on then I will post them, but don't wait around for that!

Thanks to Jenna and Dustin for watching the little ones. You have helped us out a ton and we thank you for everything!

Bath Time

The girls were taking a bath the other night and I decided to have Tyda join them. She was laughing at the girls and just having a fun time. The girls liked having her with them, so they could play with her. They absolutely love their 'Baby Tyda'.

Tyda loves having baths, but she really likes the tub where there is a lot more water to splash and lay down in.

Our little Biker Chick

This motorcycle is a remote control bike that I got for Dan for Christmas last year. We thought it was a good size for Tyda.

A couple of weeks ago I had my friend Carrie and her sister Chellese take our pictures. We did some regular ones and then we did some with the girls in their halloween costumes. I think they turned out really cute. I'm excited to have them hanging in our house.

Temple Square and a Rainy Day

Last Saturday we went up to Temple Square. They had "The Reflections of Christ" exhibit and I really wanted to see it. It wasn't as big or spritual as I hoped, but it was still good. I would love to have one of those portraits in my house.

The girls loved the reflection pool and the water fountain. It was their favorite part. But they did like the Christus. They thought that it was pretty neat.

Afterwards we went over to see Whitney and her family and Sarah. It was good to see them all.

Sunday it was raining, so after church the girls went outside to play in it. As you can see in the pictures, Scarlett is totally happy in the first picture and then in the second one she is crying. That is because she fell and didn't want to play anymore.
